Transforming Existing Spaces through Massification of Classrooms in Order to Reduce Costs and Create Digital Learning Environments
The Queensland University of Technology has been focusing on two major areas when it comes to learning spaces. Developing a new education precinct and transforming existing learning spaces within the university without major investments and overhauls. In this presentation from New Generation Learning Space Design 2017, discusses the challenges faced and successes, including:
  • Creating modern digital learning spaces through massification of classrooms and allowing sta¬á to link teaching, timetabling requirements to space types
  • Maximizing the use of engaging technologies, and pedagogies to spur higher level of discussion within the learning spaces
  • Gathering feedback from small pilot programs to prepare for the bigger transformation
