11:30 AM Meeting Student Expectations through Flexible Learning Spaces that allow Collaborative and Individual Learning Styles

It’s time to say goodbye to traditional class room floor plans. Murdoch University have already made capitalized investments into renewing 172 units from its curriculum and learning environments. By 2020, it will focus on transforming existing spaces into improved environments, which are flexible, reconfigurable and multimodal. An example of how the university is achieving this is through its innovative trailing of TeachLive, a virtual reality environment for students led by Professor Susan Ledger. In this session, she will explore the dedicated plans for new teaching and learning spaces through the topics below:

  • Murdoch making every space a space for learning
  • Making a case study for why student need access to flexible and informal spaces for self-directed and peer-to-peer learning
  • TeachLive revolutionizing teaching spaces to allow collaboration and personalization
  • Evaluate the successes of TeachLive in driving flexibility learning spaces
