3:10 PM CASE STUDY: Implementing Changes to the Curriculum and Pedagogical Practices to Improve Student Interactivity Online and Offline in Existing Spaces
Focusing on overcoming pedagogical challenges both online and offline – including ease-of-use, managing innovative technology, and occupying out-dated spaces – The Tertiary Preparation Program in the Open Access College at the University of Southern Queensland is working to upgrade its core course, Study Management. This presentation shares its experiences in regards to:
- Exploring the challenges of physical attendance across campuses from a primarily online course
- Examining how adapting the curriculum will encourage more attendance and interactive learning in traditional spaces
- How curriculum modifications can also improve interactivity with the online space made available through the University’s course management system (CMS)
- How to analyse the success of course changes through institutional, unit, and CMS capture of data and improved analytics capacity
