8:30 am - 11:00 am Connecting Learning Analytics with Teaching and Learning Environments to Achieve Actionable Insights
Obtaining data and learning analytics are an excellent evidence-based way to understand the positive and negative relationships between learning spaces and learning outcomes. However there are strategies that need to be implemented to ensure you achieve the right learning analytics which in turn will provide you with actionable changes and priorities, rather than dormant measurements.
- Exploring learning analytic frameworks and their outcomes
- Strategising these frameworks throughout the year to establish successful modification and improving student engagement and learning outcomes

11:30 am - 2:00 pm Examining the Critical Stages and Developments of a New Learning Space Project from Start to Finish
Following completion of the Transforming Learning Project at Swinburne University of Technology, executive project development leaders share the full life-cycle of their course highlighting challenges, fundamental decisions for success, and innovative strategies to encourage the ultimate project outcomes. This workshop will not only use case study insights but will be an opportunity to discuss future projects, explore inhibitors that may not have been considered and develop strategic approaches.

SITE TOUR
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm Explore the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and their Innovative Technology-Enabled Labs and New Generation Learning Spaces
Explore the innovative and immersive learning spaces used by students at the University of Technology Sydney. Opening the tour, you’ll receive a demonstration of the UTS Data Arena; a 360-degree interactive data visualisation facility used to observe, explore, and learn. The large cylindrical screen – four metres high and ten metres in diameter – utilises high performance computer graphics and drives six 3D-stereo video projectors embracing new generation learning.
Following this experience, you will explore the DAB facilities/learning spaces that are integral to UTS providing immersive and industry practical learning. Established across five industries, and open to student’s day and night, seven days a week, these retrofitted spaces with specialised learning tools engages students with technical environments and accelerates industry specific learning and growth.
